Golden Leaves proudly holds the distinction of being one of the founding members of the NAFPP (National Association of Funeral Plan Providers).
Our Chairman, Stephen Rowland, holds the esteemed position of being the first Chairman of the Association and played a pivotal role in uniting industry stakeholders to establish the NAFPP.
The National Association of Funeral Plan Providers serves as the representative body for the growing prepaid funeral plan industry. With the introduction of regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority in 2022, there are currently twenty-seven authorised organisations offering funeral plans to consumers in the UK. These include both prominent national brands, local funeral directors, and several specialized smaller providers.
The NAFPP’s mission is to champion and support the industry, advocating for a secure and sustainable future for prepaid funeral plans. It is the voice for 25 of the 26 UK prepaid funeral plan providers currently authorised by the FCA. Together, these organisations serve almost 1.7 million planholders and their families across the length and breadth of the UK, plus expatriates in several countries.
We believe that the regulated prepaid funeral plan environment overseen by the Financial Conduct Authority provides an added layer of reassurance for families. Planholders can have confidence that their arrangements are safeguarded against potential failures through the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
By enabling customers to make advance preparations, our members aim to alleviate uncertainty for families and ease the burden during what is inevitably a stressful period.
The NAFPP offer a ‘Find My Plan’ service, which is a single online search form to trace any lost prepaid funeral plan. There is no need to pay a fee to find your old plan.
